Outdoor Recreation
Bromley Mountain and the surrounding area offer wonderful opportunities for getting close to nature. In fact, Bromley Sun Lodge is near walk-in access to the Appalachian Trail at the base of the mountain. Bike rentals are available from Battenkill Sports Bicycle Shop in Manchester, or try horseback riding through Vermont’s lovely trails with the help of Chipman Stables in Danby and We-Xplore in Windham. For fun on the water, Battenkill Riversports in Cambridge arranges tubing, canoeing and kayaking trips on the river, and We-Xplore also specializes in fly fishing in local lakes.
